H.R. 3219 is a package of four Appropriations bills, including for the Department of Defense, Legislative Branch, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Energy & Water Development. The bill was passed by 235 yeas to 192 noes in the House of Representatives.

Bordallo today informed Governor Eddie Calvo that she has placed a temporary hold on a Navy proposal to lease property in South Finegayan and the former Tumon Tank Farm for Photovoltaic Systems infrastructure. Governor Calvo and several local families have expressed concerns with the Navy’s proposal to lease additional lands for this project.

Bordallo today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will increase the allocation to the territories for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for fiscal year 2014 from 0.135% to 0.50%.
