Today, Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo announced that the Guam Department of Agriculture was awarded a $200,264 federal grant to fund little fire ant eradication in Santa Rita, nearby a 502-acre coral conservation area. Nearly 15 per cent of the area (70 acres) is currently infested with little fire ants, which have also been found elsewhere on Guam in recent years.

Bordallo (D-Guam) announced that the Office of the Attorney General was awarded $1,909,864 in federal grant assistance from the U.S. Department of Justice. The funding will be used to support programs administered by the Attorney General’s Office that provide direct assistance to victims of crime.
