Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today issued the following statement regarding an announcement that President Obama will propose a 0.5 percent pay increase for civilian Federal employees. The President is expected to include this pay increase in his budget proposal for fiscal year 2013, which he will submit to the Congress in February.
I request that we observe a moment of silence for the victims of the Tucson shootings, for the full recovery of all who were injured in that incident, including my good friend Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, and for the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
