Bordallo Joins USO in Support of Military Families
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo (D-Guam) joined her colleagues in the U.S. House of Representatives and Congressional staff in assembling care packages for families of military servicemembers deployed overseas. The event was part of the United Services Organizations’ (USO) Salute to Military Spouses and put on in conjunction with its six-month spotlight on military spouse contributions and challenges. Care packages assembled by Congresswoman Bordallo will be offered to deployed servicemembers to send to their spouses and loved ones at home.
“I always enjoy participating in USO events to support our military servicemembers and their families. The USO is unwavering in its dedication to our military families, and I thank them for their work of connecting families separated by deployments. Helping to offer care packages to deployed servicemembers and their loved ones at home is a source of pride, and I am very thankful for the daily sacrifices our military families make in support of our nation,” said Congresswoman Bordallo.
