Ermitano Appointed to U.S. Naval Academy

Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today announced that Anthony N. Ermitano has been appointed to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.  Anthony was nominated by Congresswoman Bordallo, and competed with nominees nationwide for admission into the Naval Academy.  The Naval Academy’s admission board selected Anthony based on his academic achievements, athletic abilities, extracurricular activities and community involvement. 

Anthony is the son of Anthony and Nanette Ermitano of Tamuning. He will graduate from Father Duenas Memorial School in April 2013 he currently has  a 4.0 grade point average, and is ranked number one in his class, he was a member of the Father Duenas track and field, cross country, paddling, and drill team.  As operations manager Anthony in number three in the chain of command of Phoenix Company NJROTC. He also serves as an officer in Father Duenas’ National Honor Society and has been consistently on the school’s honor list. He is also involved in Junior Achievement and has led several village cleanup projects and the annual International Coastal Cleanup.

I am confident that he will be successful as a midshipman at the Naval Academy and that he will serve our nation with dedication and professionalism.”
