Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo

Representing the People of Guam

Foreign Claims Settlement Commission Changes Address

May 11, 2018
Press Release
Still Accepting Mail at Old Address with Correct Zip Code

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo issued the following statement regarding a change of address of the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission. The Commission’s new physical address has changed to:

601 D Street NW, Suite 10300
Washington, D.C. 20579

While the Commission’s physical address has changed, it has advised that the zip code 20579 is unique to the Commission, and mail sent to its old address is being routed to its new location. Therefore constituents sending claims forms to the old address but used the 20579 zip code should not experience a delay.

“I have been assured that the Foreign Claims Settlement Commission will continue to receive claims applications sent to its old address. While I understand that the Commission’s address change may cause confusion to those applying for war claims, they can be assured that their claim will be received as long as they use the zip code 20579. I am working with the Commission to ensure that its change of address is noted to the public. I encourage anyone who has any questions or concerns to contact my Guam or DC offices for assistance.”
