HHS Awards Guam $65,357 in Federal Financial Assistance
Congresswoman Madeleine Z. Bordallo today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded $65,357 to the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS). This discretionary grant will benefit the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) State Systems Development Initiative.
The MCHB provides the leadership to improve the physical and mental health, safety and well-being of the nation’s women, children, and their families.
“The funds received today are important in improving the quality of care for our island’s women and children,” Congresswoman Bordallo said today. “The Obama Administration remains committed in supporting Guam’s public health services. I look forward to the implementation of these funds benefiting the health care needs of our community.”
